Founded in March 2015, Lodestar Energy provides supply chain expertise to the marketplace through the design, construction, and development of railcar, pipeline, and marine terminal infrastructure. With over 100 years of combined experience, our leadership team’s commercial and operational expertise enables efficient and economic deployment of resources in the core businesses of our clients.
Our History
Lodestar Energy is an outgrowth of Lodestar Logistics Corporation. Since 1996, Lodestar Logistics has provided logistics advisory and supply chain operations management services to some of the world’s largest petrochemical companies.
The company was formed with equity commitments from The Energy & Minerals Group (EMG). EMG, founded in 2006, is a private equity firm with approximately $17.1 billion in assets under management. They have invested across multiple facets of the global natural resource industry, including the upstream and midstream segments.
EMG targets equity investments of $150 million to $1,000 million in the energy and minerals sectors with talented, experienced management teams such as Lodestar Energy. They are focused on hard assets that are integral to existing and growing markets.
